Jawa 42 range to expand on September 3

Jawa has teased the launch of an all-new motorcycle, scheduled for September 3, which will be part of the 42 family. It remains to be seen if it will be priced higher or lower in the line-up.

Jawa 42, launch details

Earlier this month, Jawa launched the updated 42 at Rs 1.73 lakh, featuring tweaks to its engine, which now produces 27.32hp and 26.84Nm. The teaser doesn't reveal many details, but it does show a slightly different design. It remains to be seen if this will be a drastic change or a mild redesign of the existing Jawa 42. It is also unclear if the new model will use the same 249cc liquid-cooled motor as the 42 or will borrow the engine from the Jawa 350. There is also no information yet about its underpinnings, but it is likely to be based on the current Jawa 42. Prices and further details will be announced on September 3.
