Jawa unveiled the 1000 Sport Cruiser concept at the Brno Motorcycle Show in the Czech Republic earlier this year. Designed by Czech designer Jan Hrbek – who also penned the recently revealed Jawa 730 Twin – the concept combines a low-slung cruiser silhouette with styling that reinterprets Jawa's classic design language in a more modern form.

  2. Features Öhlins suspension, Brembo Stylema calipers and OZ Racing wheels

Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser details

Only a handful of the 1000 Sport Cruise will be made

The 1000 Sport Cruiser is said to be powered by a 999cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine developed in the Czech Republic. Peak output is claimed to stand at 113hp and 95Nm, with the motorcycle reportedly capable of a top speed of 215kph. Kerb weight is said to be approximately 240kg, while seat height is listed at 795mm.

Sources also suggest the motorcycle uses a double-cradle frame derived from, but not identical to, the one found on the Jawa 730 Twin. That motorcycle uses a 730cc parallel-twin developed in collaboration with Swiss engineering specialist Suter, and the larger Sport Cruiser is said to feature a strengthened version of the chassis to accommodate the more powerful engine.

Suspension is fully Öhlins at both ends, with twin rear shock absorbers and a USD fork up front. Braking is handled by Brembo Stylema calipers, with OZ Racing wheels and a LeoVince exhaust completing the package.

The bike showcased at Brno is understood to be a pre-production prototype and reports suggest the 1000 Sport Cruiser is the result of a collaboration between Jawa and Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Jedi, though this has not been officially confirmed by Jawa.

Production numbers have also not been finalized publicly, with various reports citing figures of either 10 or 15 units. What appears certain, however, is that the 1000 Sport Cruiser will be an extremely limited-production machine. At a rumoured price of €62,000 (approximately Rs 68.25 lakh), it would firmly occupy collector's-item territory.
