Honda two-wheelers extends validity of free service, warranty till July 31

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has announced extension of warranty and free vehicle service benefits till July 31, 2021.

    • Valid across all Honda dealerships pan-India

    • Production was also suspended at Honda factories

    • Yamaha has also offered a similar extension

Honda has said that the extension will be applicable for all Honda motorcycle and scooter owners, whose vehicle’s free service, warranty and extended warranty was originally ending between April 1 and May 31, 2021. The company also added that this extension is available across all its dealerships in India.

This move comes to reassure customers facing restricted movement in several states and support them to avail these services at their convenience at a later date before July 31 2021, as the lockdown eases. Yamaha is also offering a similar extension, but its date is set much earlier at June 30, 2021. We could see an extension if the lockdown is prolonged in India. One can also expect other two-wheeler manufacturers to announce a similar extension in the coming weeks.

Owing to the current severe situation on account of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and multiple lockdowns across the country, Honda had announced a temporary halt of its production operations. This includes the company’s plants at Manesar in Haryana, Tapukara in Rajasthan, Narsapura in Karnataka and Vithalapur in Gujarat.
