Honda has released a teaser video for a motorcycle that it will launch on August 27. The video reveals little of what's in store, but we believe the motorcycle in question could be a larger displacement successor to the CB Hornet 160R, which never received a BS6 update.

The teaser video only reveals the front end of the motorcycle and while it resembles the old Hornet, it does look sharper. More importantly, it features a USD fork, unlike the old bike that was equipped with a telescopic unit. The video also reveals other elements like an engine cowl and a fully digital, negative-LCD instrument cluster, which features a tachometer along the top and a gear position indicator.

While we can also see that the engine will be air-cooled, nothing else is known about its specifications. However, this engine could be larger than the one in the CB Hornet 160R, as Honda had quite a few offerings in the 150-160cc segment and it makes sense for the company to move the Hornet up. We’ll have all the details on this new motorcycle in a few days’ time.
