Honda revealed the Rebel 300 as one of its seven new products in July. Since then, we’ve learnt the bike’s price – Rs 2.22 lakh (Rs 40,000 extra for the E-Clutch version) – and its full list of specifications. Now, we believe deliveries of the bike are starting soon, perhaps as early as November 6. This is a relief to buyers since the ADV160 maxi-scooter, which was supposed to be delivered alongside the Rebel 300, has been delayed to next year.

  1. Two buyers said they were told deliveries will begin in the first week of November
  2. Most BigWing dealers say they’ll start at the end of November or early December
  3. Delivery plan seems to include both Standard and E-Clutch variants
  4. In India, the Rebel 300 is powered by a 286cc engine making 27.6hp and 24.5Nm

Timelines appear to vary across the country

More than one buyer who made bookings for the Rebel 300 has revealed on Reddit that they have received calls about deliveries from the BigWing dealership. One person said they were informed that a display motorcycle will be available from November 3 and deliveries will start on Dhanteras, November 6. From the comments, we identify their city as Bengaluru. Another buyer, who appears to be from North India, revealed in a different subreddit that they also received a call about delivery, but the date promised in their case is November 10.

To corroborate this timeline, we reached out to Honda BigWing dealers in seven major cities: Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. Except for Delhi and Pune, every dealer indicated mid-November for factory dispatches and early December for deliveries. The dealership in Delhi expects to receive a display model in the first week of November and deliveries to start in the middle or by the end of the month. As for Pune, the dealer we spoke to said that they expect to get dispatches in January 2027 and deliveries to commence thereafter. As of now, deliveries for both Standard and E-Clutch versions are expected to start simultaneously.

This could mean that Honda is staggering dispatches across the country. Considering Diwali is on November 8, Honda’s move makes sense, although the company hasn’t yet revealed an official delivery timeline besides a vague indication on its website. As such, these timelines should be taken with a pinch of salt. If you have booked the Rebel 300 or are interested in buying one, we recommend reaching out to your nearest Honda BigWing dealership directly.

As for the Rebel 300 itself, Honda revealed the full set of specifications in the third week of October. Therefore, we know that it’s powered by a 286cc parallel-twin engine, making 27.6hp at 8,000rpm and 24.5Nm at 6,250rpm. The kerb weight is confirmed to be 173kg for the Standard variant and 176kg for the E-Clutch variant, both with an 11.2-litre fuel tank. The seat height is also confirmed at 690mm, as is the ground clearance at 129mm.

Besides the addition of the E-Clutch mechanism, there are no feature differences between the two variants. As such, they share the circular TFT display, traction control, which is referred to as Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Honda Roadsync Connectivity and a USB-C port. The Rebel 300 will go up against the likes of the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 (Rs 2.27 lakh), Jawa 42 Bobber (Rs 2.09 lakh) and Jawa Perak (Rs 2.20 lakh). Currently, the Honda is the most feature-packed.
