Honda recently launched the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and Rebel 500 in India, but has now removed these models from its official website.

1. Honda CBR1000RR-R was launched earlier this year
2. This was the first sales run of the Rebel 500
3. It seems Honda allocated a limited number of units of both models

The Fireblade was the brand’s flagship supersport in India

This marked the Rebel 500’s first sales run in India

The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade was previously on sale in India, and Honda recently reintroduced it in its higher-spec ‘SP’ avatar. However, the company has now silently removed the model from its website, suggesting that it is no longer available for purchase. The Rebel 500 has met a similar fate. This was the cruiser’s first official sales run in India, yet it too has been taken off the website.

The likely explanation is that Honda had allocated a limited number of units for India, and those units have now been sold out. The brand often follows this practice – removing a model once the allotted stock is exhausted. This does not necessarily indicate a permanent discontinuation. The motorcycles may return if and when Honda assigns fresh units to the Indian market, but that remains uncertain for now. Recently, Honda did a similar thing with the CB300R by simply removing it from the website. However, that model wasn’t a CBU, and it even had localised components – but despite that, it was removed, likely due to low sales.
