Honda India has slashed the price of the CB500X adventure motorcycle by a whopping Rs 1.09 lakh. This massive reduction in price means the CB500X is now priced at Rs 5.79 lakh in Mumbai, as opposed to Rs 6.88 lakh when it was launched last year.

The price reduction should come as music to the ears of those who were planning to buy the CB500X, but were put off by the exorbitant launch price. In fact, during our first ride review, we found the Honda CB500X to be a genuinely good motorcycle who’s appeal was massively diminished because of the unjustifiable price tag. It sat way too close to the better-equipped Kawasaki Versys 650 (Rs 7.15 lakh). Now, with the price drop, the Honda CB500X makes more sense for someone looking for a 500cc class ADV.

One must, however, note that Honda has launched the updated CB500X in international markets, and the changes include a USD fork, dual front discs, lighter swingarm and front wheel and a new colourway. This motorcycle is expected to launch in India in the coming days.

With the price cut, will you go in for the 2021 model or wait for the updated version launched internationally? Let us know in the comments section.
