The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero, has rolled out the new Splendor iSmart with i3S technology (idle stop and start system).

The iSmart gets design cues similar to the Splendor NXG, with four colour options – red, green, blue and grey. Apart from this, the bike gets an instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer, odometer and fuel meter, followed by basic warning lights. Switchgear comprises a start-stop button on the right to manage the iSmart technology. Saddle on the iSmart gets red stitching to give it a premium feel, with split grab rails.

The 97.2cc, single cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine comes to life via a kick and electric starter, producing 7.7bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 0.82kgm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Drum brakes are bolted on to tubeless tyres with black alloys to manage the braking on this 100cc motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp is also coming up with a multi-media campaign for the Splendor iSmart across print, television, digital and social media.

The iSmart is available at Hero dealerships across the country, and is priced at Rs 47,250 (ex-showroom Delhi), Rs 49,967 (ex-showroom Mumbai), Rs 48,192 (ex-showroom Chennai), Rs 48,549 (ex-showroom Kolkata) and Rs 48,014 (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
