Harley-Davidson India has just announced price cuts on the Fat Boy and Heritage Softail Classic. The Fat Boy, earlier priced at Rs 17.01 lakh, will now be available for Rs 14.99 lakh, while the Heritage Softail Classic, earlier priced at Rs 18.50 lakh, will now be available for Rs 15.99 lakh.

The revised prices are applicable on the model year 2017 Softail models and have been effective since September 1, 2017, till stocks last. This means that potential buyers will miss out on all major updates the 2018 models have received. Harley-Davidson’s Softail series got a whole list of cosmetic and mechanical upgrades for the 2018 model year. Mechanical changes include a dual disc-brake setup at the front, and Harley-Davidson’s new, more powerful and cooler-running Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine.

Just recently, Peter MacKenzie was named managing director of Harley-Davidson India and this could be move from him to act quickly and get all the 2017 Softails out of the stockyard before the launch of the 2018 model. Nonetheless, this is a good deal for buyers who are looking for a Softail with the 2017 model’s styling, since the 2018 Softail has been drastically redesigned.
