Harley-Davidson started its global celebrations for its 110th anniversary in Goa on Feb 1 2013, showing how strongly the company is committed to the Indian market. The occasion marked Harley-Davidson India’s first national Harley Owners’ Group (H.O.G) rally which saw over 500 Harley owners descend on Goa from around the country astride their heavy motorcycles. The Goa celebrations were attended by Harley-Davidson India MD, Anoop Prakash, as well as Creative Director, General Merchandise, Karen Davidson, also the great granddaughter of company co-founder William A. Davidson.

 

Amidst all the celebrations, H.O.G members who have managed to pile up maximum number of kilometres during the eight H.O.G rides in 2012 were honoured with a Freedom Jacket. This jacket shows off emblems and patches from its journeys all around the world since Aug 2012. After Goa, the jacket will travel to each anniversary celebration around the globe.

 

Harley-Davidson’s anniversary celebrations will be a year-long affair, reaching Harley owners in 11 countries worldwide. Harley-Davidson will have two major events in Rome, Italy and at home in Milwaukee, the US.
