Ducati has launched its all-new version of a performance-cruiser hybrid, the XDiavel and XDiavel S, at Rs 15.87 lakh and Rs 18.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The XDiavel comes equipped with an all-new frame; the engine is now a stressed element of the chassis. Power comes from the Euro-IV compliant, Testastretta 1262cc, L-twin engine that produces 156hp of peak power and 128.9Nm of torque. The engine’s stroke has been increased by 3.6mm from the standard Diavel to enhance torque delivery, resulting in a 64cc hike in displacement as well. The motor is paired to a six-speed gearbox and gets three riding modes – Sport (156hp), Touring (156hp) and Urban (100hp).

Tech on board includes a ride-by-wire throttle, cornering ABS, traction control, Ducati Power Launch (DPL), cruise control and hands-free ignition. The XDiavel also comes with different control units to regulate individual electronic packages of the motorcycle. Up from the standard Diavel, it also has an infotainment system, and is the first bike from Ducati to come with a belt-drive instead of a chain. It also comes with Ducati’s Multimedia System that lets riders connect their smartphones to the bike via Bluetooth.

The XDiavel and XDiavel S are available across Ducati dealerships in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.
