Ducati has begun accepting bookings for the Multistrada V4 in India.

  • Booking amount is set at Rs 1 lakh

  • Booking open till stocks last

  • V4S features radar assisted adaptive cruise control

The Ducati Multistrada V4 recently went on sale in international markets, where it is sold in three variants – V4, V4S and V4 Sport. However, it appears that India will only get the V4 and V4S variants, as bookings for them have commenced. The booking amount is set at Rs 1 lakh, and the Italian brand has said that bookings will only remain till the current stocks last. Ducati is expected to reopen bookings once the next shipment of motorcycles arrives.

The company has said that deliveries for the Multistrada V4 will begin soon after the launch and it will be available on display across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, and Chennai. Test rides for the V-powered machine are also expected to begin shortly after the launch.

Built completely from the ground up, the new Multistrada V4 features an all-new chassis, suspension, brakes and engine. The Multistrada’s V4 engine, dubbed the V4 Granturismo, makes 170hp at 10,500rpm and  125Nm of torque at 8,750rpm. For reference, the older 1,262cc, V-twin was capable of making 158hp at 9,500rpm and 128Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. Unlike the Multistrada 1260, which had Desmodromic valves, the V4 engine makes do with a spring valve return system, a change that has contributed to the huge 60,000km valve train service interval.

As expected, the Multistrada V4 is loaded to the gills with features and electronic rider aids. The radar-assisted adaptive cruise control is another premium feature on the V4S trim. To know more about the Multistrada V4, click here.
