BMW has launched the R 1300 GSA at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, with introductory prices starting at Rs 22.95 lakh. Unlike the R 1300 GS, which is 12kg lighter than its predecessor, the R 1300 GSA weighs a kilo more than its previous-generation model.

BMW R 1300 GSA launch details
The R 1300 GSA is the more off-road-oriented version of the standard R 1300 GS and features a larger 30-litre fuel tank. It is also 32kg heavier than the standard GS and tips the scales at 269kg. BMW has equipped the R 1300 GSA with the same 1300cc engine as the R 1300 GS. This unit continues to produce 145hp at 7,750rpm and 149Nm at 6,500rpm.
BMW has equipped this large adventure bike with its Automated Shift Assistant, which is essentially an automatic clutch. The new R 1300 GSA also has radar-assisted features, such as cruise control and blind spot monitoring. The R 1300 GSA’s introductory price of Rs 22.95 lakh makes it Rs 1.75 lakh more expensive than the standard R 1300 GS and Rs 45,000 pricier than the outgoing R 1250 GSA.
The R 1300 GSA is available in three variants – Triple Black, GS Trophy and Option 719 Karakorum – with the radar-assisted rider aids being reserved for the top 719 variant.
