After months of anticipation – from the F 450 GS Concept being shown at EICMA 2024 to multiple test sightings and finally the unveiling of its production version at EICMA 2025 – BMW Motorrad has launched the F 450 GS in India in three variants, starting at Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom) and topping out at Rs 5.30 lakh. Bookings for the F 450 GS are open, with deliveries starting from June 2026. This new adventure tourer replaces the discontinued G 310 GS as the brand’s entry point into the revered GS line-up and is manufactured in India by TVS at its Hosur facility.

BMW F 450 GS India launch: Everything you need to know
6.5-inch TFT display, heated grips, adjustable levers and more
The F 450 GS line-up is spread across three variants – Base, Exclusive and GS Trophy – which share the same engine and differ based on features and components. The 420cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled mill produces 48hp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. BMW’s Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless upshifts and downshifts is standard from the Exclusive variant.

The bike has a kerb weight of 178kg and is underpinned by a KYB upside-down fork and a monoshock adjustable for preload and rebound, while braking duties are handled by a Brembo front setup and a Bybre rear unit, supported by ABS Pro for safe braking even when leaning. Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and Dynamic Brake Light are additional safety features offered from the Base variant.
In terms of features, the F 450 GS has a 6.5-inch TFT display with connectivity, heated grips and adjustable levers. It also gets BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch, which is standard on the Trophy and can be retrofitted to other variants.
Here’s how the Base, Exclusive and GS Trophy variants differ from each other:
BMW F 450 GS Base is the entry-level variant that offers a 6.5-inch TFT dash, all-LED lighting, heated grips, ABS Pro, engine drag torque control, traction control, height-adjustable (20mm) rear brake lever, and adjustable clutch and brake levers. This variant is available only in Cosmic Black colour.
BMW F 450 GS Exclusive includes off-road foot pegs, hand guards, an engine guard, Riding Modes Pro, Shift Assistant Pro and a clear windshield over and above the features on the Base variant. The Exclusive variant is also available only in Cosmic Black.
BMW F 450 GS Trophy comes with off-road foot pegs, white hand guards, Riding Modes Pro, Shift Assistant Pro, tinted Rallye windshield, sport suspension, an aluminium engine guard and Easy Ride Clutch. The GS Trophy variant is offered in BMW’s classic tricolour paint scheme.

The F 450 GS carries typical GS styling cues with a tall stance and ADV bodywork, and features quad-LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) inspired by the flagship R 1300 GS. BMW is also offering a range of optional accessories including cross-spoke wheels, multiple windscreen options, luggage systems, handlebar risers and different seat configurations.
Priced at Rs 4.70 lakh for the Base variant, Rs 4.90 lakh for the Exclusive variant and Rs 5.30 lakh for the GS Trophy, the F 450 GS enters India as BMW’s most accessible GS offering, combining a twin-cylinder engine, relatively low kerb weight and a comprehensive feature set. At this price point, its closest rival is the Honda NX500, but it also goes up against single-cylinder bikes such as the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
