It is with great sadness that we report that auto journalist Suvil Susvirkar has died in a motorcycle accident. He was part of a motorcycle expedition with TVS to the Zanskar valley when the incident occurred.
Details are scarce but it appears that the accident happened around a corner near Kaza. No other vehicle was involved and the back up ambulance that was part of the convoy was close behind. He was provided medical support by the doctor on the spot but was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
He was Principal Correspondent at BikeWale and next year would have marked 10 years since Suvil started covering the automobile industry. Suvil was a fellow colleague and a friend and he will be sorely missed by the entire community. We extend our condolences to Suvil’s family and colleagues at this difficult time.
