Aprilia has launched its new RSV4 RF Limited Edition in the United States and Canada. This new variant of the RSV4 is limited to 125 units and comes with MotoGP-inspired winglets on its fairing. The bike was presented during the third round of the 2018 MotoGP World Championship, because Aprilia says that this special version of the RSV4 RF celebrates the bike’s bond with racing.

The RF LE is available in a special “Factory Works” colour scheme. The Italian bike maker said that this colour scheme is inspired by the three colours of the Italian flag and the livery of the Aprilia AF1 250 that Loris Reggiani rode in 1987 to achieve the first of Aprilia's 294 world championship wins in Grand Prix racing.

The main distinction of the Aprilia RSV4 RF Limited Edition is the addition of the aforementioned winglets – the aerodynamic spoilers made of carbon fibre (which are also removable). Aprilia Racing first developed winglets for its RS-GP prototype used in the MotoGP World Championship and has, for the first time ever, made its way to a road-going super sport. Yes, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R does have winglets, too, but it is not a road-legal motorcycle. This bike also features a Limited Edition logo and like other RF models, has its production number inscribed on the steering plate.

Powering the RSV4 RF LE is the same 999cc V4 engine producing 201hp and 115Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. Electronics include traction control, launch control, wheelie control and ABS. The motorcycle also comes with top-of-the-line fully-adjustable suspension from Öhlins as well as Brembo brakes.

The superbike has been priced at USD 24,499 (Rs 16.36 lakh) in the United States and for CAD 25,495 (Rs 17.03 lakh) in Canada.
