Mercedes-Benz has re-entered the luxury MPV segment with the new V-Class. Priced at Rs 1.14 crore (ex-showroom), the luxury MPV will be locally assembled at the brand's facility in Chakan, Pune. The India-spec V-Class comes standard with the AMG Line exterior package, featuring a sporty finish for the bumpers and dual-tone rims. On the inside, the V-Class can be specced in two different colour schemes. The luxury MPV is available in two 6-seater options, wherein the second row seats can be either front-facing or rear-facing. Another option is a 4-seater version where the second row only comes with captain chairs. A USP of the V-Class is the third row seats that feature ventilation, while the second row captain chairs get a variety of power adjustment options along with cooling, heating, memory and massage functions. The V-Class can be had with either a petrol or diesel, both being 2.0-litre engines with the former featuring a mild-hybrid system. Mercedes is selling the MPV in the extra-long wheelbase (EWB) guise in India.
