Former Mercedes design head Gorden Wagener revealed a digitally rendered concept whose design pays homage to an iconic Mercedes car. The concept is a modern recreation of the iconic Mercedes AMG SEL 6.3 ‘Red Pig’, the first car AMG ever worked on. It trades the original racecars' squared-off design for smooth and curvy surfaces while retaining core details. The front gets vertically stacked headlamps with three-point star detailing and a squarish grille. From the side, the 'Red Pig' concept gets a sloping roofline and a modern design for the alloy wheels with AMG branding on the sidewalls. The rear end comes with a minimal look. For context, the original AMG SEL 3.6 was powered by a 6.8-litre V8 engine and raced in the Spa 24 hours championship.
