The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E edition price starts at Rs 23.69 lakh, ex-showroom.

The BE 6 Formula E edition comes with the familiar 79kWh battery pack, powering a rear-mounted 286hp, 380Nm motor; ARAI range is 682km.

The front and rear get redesigned bumpers with faux bash plates.

The new edition also adds round headlights, grey-and-black cladding that runs from front to back, and decals on the front quarter panels and the glass roof.

Compared to the standard BE 6, the taillights don’t extend down towards the bumpers, and there’s a new Formula E badge next to the BE 6 badge.

The Formula E Edition adds orange inserts to the cabin, an FIA X Formula E Edition plaque, FIA branding on seat belts, and other motorsport-related highlights and trimmings. Mahindra has also introduced Formula E-inspired start-up animations and synthesised engine sounds.

Even the buttons of the remote key are finished in orange.

The glass roof also sports a 12-stripe graphic, representing the 12 years that the team has competed in the EV racing championship.
