Which SUV should I go for – the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner or the Mitsubishi Pajero? My priorities are low maintenance cost, good fuel efficiency and resale value, as I’m planning to use it for
at least five years. I drive a maximum of 150-200km a week.

AAA - In the long run, it’s the Fortuner that is the most reliable but not necessarily the cheapest to run. Ford has worked on lowering the spare parts prices of its cars over the years and hence it is not expensive to maintain. However, the Fortuner has a stronger resale value than the Endeavour; so when it’s time to trade in your SUV, you could lose more with the Ford. Overall, we feel the Endeavour is better as it the nicer car to drive and feels more plush too. The Pajero? We suggest you don’t even consider it as the company is winding up in India and there aren’t too many dealers left either.
