Maserati is slated to launch the GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelifts on October 30, 2026, four months after their global unveiling. This marks the first comprehensive refresh for the current generation. Here’s what you can expect from the updated models.

What exterior updates will the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelifts get?

Visual changes to the GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelifts are mainly focused on the front. Both models receive an aggressive bumper inspired by the MCPura, featuring reshaped air intakes and a pronounced splitter. Maserati claims these revised air intakes increase downforce. At the rear, the LED tail-lamps feature clear-lens detailing. The rest of the design remains largely unchanged, with slim LED headlamps and signature Maserati cues such as the long bonnet, triple fender vents and muscular rear haunches.

Through the Fuoriserie personalisation programme, buyers can select new paint options, including Green Jupiter Matte, Blu Denim, Bronzo Lucido, Bronzo Matte, Grigio Mistero, Rosso Velluto and Oro Lirico. Additionally, a new range of paint finishes is available for the badges and exhaust tips.

Overall, the cabin layout of the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelifts remains largely unchanged from the outgoing version. Updates include a new octagonal race-inspired steering wheel with dark satin aluminium spokes, a redesigned digital clock with an octagonal metal rim featuring new graphics, metal knobs for the drive selector and a parking function integrated into the steering-wheel paddles. A new monitoring system has been added to track driver behaviour and fatigue.

What powertrains will the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelifts come with?

Under the hood, the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelifts retain the 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6 engine. The Modena variants continue to deliver 490hp and 600Nm, whereas the Trofeo variants get a power bump from 550hp to 590hp, though torque remains unchanged at 650Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a recalibrated 8-speed automatic gearbox tuned for quicker responses.

The GranTurismo Modena has a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 302kph. Despite the power bump, the Trofeo’s 0-100kph time and top speed remain unchanged at 3.5 seconds and 320kph, respectively. Due to added weight, the GranCabrio posts slightly lower performance figures – the Modena can do the 0-100kph sprint in 4 seconds and has a top speed of 300kph, while the Trofeo has a 0-100kph time of 3.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 316kph.

All-electric Folgore versions of both the facelifted GranTurismo and GranCabrio continue to use a 92.5kWh battery. This battery is paired with three e-motors – one at the front and two at the rear – producing a total output of 761hp and 1,350Nm. However, the claimed range has increased from 450km to 540km thanks to a new system that disconnects the front motor, reducing energy consumption when all-wheel traction is not required. The GranTurismo Folgore is said to accelerate from 0-100kph in 2.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 325kph, while the GranCabrio Folgore handles the 0-100kph sprint in 2.8 seconds and tops out at 290kph.

A new ‘Country’ drive mode raises ground clearance by 20mm at speeds up to 120kph. We’ve had the opportunity to drive the GranTurismo facelift ahead of its launch.

What are the expected prices of the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelifts?
