#1 DYNAMIC ENGINES
Some people love diesel engines, while others prefer petrol. The Dzire offers both petrol and diesel options under the hood, both of which have excellent motors.

The 1.3-liter DDiS 190 diesel engine is equipped with a common rail injection system and an inter-cooled turbo charger to put out 75hp. People who thought diesels were sluggish were surprised at how quick the car was once the turbo kicked in. Plus the economy of a diesel is hard to resist.

Petrolheads loved the responsive 83hp, 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol. It’s barely audible at idling revs. However, get moving and it feels a bit different in character. From as low as 1,200rpm, the motor builds speed off the line. Power delivery is nice and smooth, and the revs build in a linear manner. It makes a sporty sound once it crosses 3,500 revs and there’s no reluctance from the engine. It’ll cleanly pull until 6,300rpm. Max torque of 113Nm is developed at 4,200revs. The five-speed manual transmission is a joy to use and the throws are short and smooth.

#2 AUTOMATIC CONVENIENCE
While some purists swear by the virtues of the Dzire’s manual box, many are opting for the convenience of an automatic gearbox. The Dzire’s Auto Gear Shift technology gives the convenience of an auto box without sacrificing fuel economy. People also love the fact that they can shift between ‘auto’ and ‘manual’ mode on the fly.

#3 PREMIUM PRESENCE
One of the big reasons for Dzire’s soaring popularity is right in front of your eyes. The smooth curves and flowing lines work to create an attractive profile. The face looks smart and grown up, with almond-shaped headlamps, chunky chrome surrounding the grille with a Suzuki logo that appears to float, and L-shaped chrome inserts giving some definition to the bumper. The new LED tail-lamps look smart when lit up.

#4 PRACTICAL SPACE
People love the space in the Dzire. This new Dzire has a longer wheelbase of 2,450mm and as a result, there is much more legroom at the back. Two tall people can sit one behind another in reasonable comfort. What’s nice is that there are air-con vents and a 12V power socket at the back now. The large 378 litre boot adds to the Dzire’s practicality.

#5 FANTASTIC FEATURES
One of the big reasons that people are putting their money on the new Dzire is because the car makes them feel special. It is loaded with equipment and features that make every drive memorable. The interiors are intuitively designed keeping in mind comfort and utility, with features like burl wood ornamentation, flat bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, multi-information LCD Display and a push-start button.

#6 ALWAYS CONNECTED
Cell phones today have become an integral part of our lives. That’s why people love the fact that when they are in the Dzire, the car’s SmartPlay Infotainment System gives them a seamless smartphone experience. Appointed with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink, it lets them enjoy the features of their smartphones. They can relax with their favourite tunes and stay connected everywhere as they take to unexplored roads.

#7 MAGIC CARPET RIDE
Ride comfort is where the Dzire truly scores with its customers. Maruti engineers have arrived at a suspension set-up that works brilliantly on our roads. The car is brilliant at soaking up cratered roads while on smooth highways, the Dzire feels well-planted and secure, allowing you to cruise effortlessly.

#8 SAFETY FIRST
People are getting more aware about safety systems. The Dzire’s in-built safety has made it a popular choice. The HEARTECT platform has engineered strength and protection into the very chassis of the car. Air bags, ABS, ISOFix are no longer meaningless terms but safety systems that people want, and the Dzire delivers.

#9 PEACE OF MIND
Another big reason for the Dzire’s popularity is the peace of mind the brand offers. With a vast network of workshops across the country, a Dzire customer never has to travel too far to get his or her car serviced.

#10 WORD OF MOUTH
Forget everything you just read here. Forget every advertisement of the Dzire. Listen to the 100,000 people who have chosen the Dzire over every other car in the market. Most of the people who bought this car did so after talking to other Dzire owners.100,000 happy owners cannot be wrong. If you are looking to buy a car, talk to one. There is sure to be one near you.

Flag-off from Siliguri after a sumptuous lunch.

The powerful Honda CR-V automatic gearbox made the drive to the Bhutan border effortless.

The smooth twisty roads were fun to drive in the Honda WR-V.

Fog and heavy rain reduced visibility drastically on the way to Paro.

The WR-V's powerful headlights were most useful in the dark and foggy weather.

For most part the route to Paro was hilly and very scenic.

Streams and waterfalls like this were a common sight on the drive.

The Le Meridien is beautifully located on the outskirts of Paro with hills on one side and a river on the other.

The quaint Paro airport makes for a pretty picture in the valley from high up.

The short drive up to the base of the Tiger's Nest was easy with the torquey WR-V.

The Tiger's Nest perched comfortably on the side of a cliff is a spectacle not to be missed in Bhutan.

A late evening drive through the main street of the town lined with shops and restaurants.

Authentic Bhutanese delicacies are a must for those who love food.

The drive back to Phuentsholing was bright sun and clear skies.

The WR-V in full flow amidst a beautiful countryside and blue skies.

One can never get enough of the beautiful landscapes wherever you drive in Bhutan.

Not only the people but animals too are patient and strictly adhere to traffic rules.

Prayer flags greet the WR-V as it glides through the town of Gedu.

The fleet of Honda Cars get a much deserved rest before crossing back into our motherland.
