What are you driving and why?

I am driving a Mercedes- Benz SL 63 AMG because I always dreamt of owning one for its naturally-aspirated V8 engine.

What’s next on your wish list?

To drive a Maserati MC12 on the Pacific coast highway in the USA and then get it down to India on carnet and drive it from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer.

The most fun you’ve had in a car?

In a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, on the empty roads of Kutch.

Favourite / Dream money no object car?

A Pagani Zonda Roadster F, for its glorious 7.3-litre V12 engine and manual transmission.

Who is your all time greatest motorsport hero?

Michael Schumacher, for his relentless pace and supreme ability to pump in quick times at crucial moments in races.

Favourite road?

As I reside most of the time in India, I love the roads in Rajasthan, especially the Jaisalmer to Jodhpur route. The winding roads from Chandigarh to Shimla are a close second.

What’s on your automotive bucket list?

A 2013 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 as it used to pull in the 6th gear too. Also, a Ford Raptor and a manual Ferrari 599 GTB.

What would you do with your last litre of fuel?

Do a last quarter-mile run with it.

Your ideal 5-car garage would be?
