Like the 5-door version, the 3-door Maruti Jimny is also made in India. Why doesn’t Maruti launch the Jimny 3-door in India?
Autocar India says: The Maruti Jimny 3-door is a very compact SUV that serves a small niche and has limited appeal in our market. And since Maruti Suzuki typically wants a high-volume product that has mass appeal, the company didn’t feel that they would get enough volume with the 3-door Jimny. But judging by slow sales of the Jimny 5-door thus far, perhaps the Jimny 3-door can increase sales by 50 percent if they decided to launch it here.
