Most of them hope to get back on track for sales growth through these models. Read on to know more in this article about the most awaited car launches in India.

The following cars are scheduled for launch in January 2022 in India:

    1. Tata Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG

Due to the rising fuel price, the demand for CNG cars has increased in India and Tata Motors has used this opportunity to enter the CNG sector with some specific car models. The company has decided to launch CNG versions of its Tiago and Tigor. These cars will have factory-fitted CNG kits along with the existing 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine. Although, its specifications of 85hp and 113Nm of peak torque may be detuned to develop less power when using CNG fuel. This may, however, lead to more fuel efficiency in these Tata cars.

    2. Audi Q7

The Audi Q7 will be launched in India in January 2022. The SUV will come with certain design changes such as a bigger grille, sportier-looking bumper, redesigned tail-lights, Matrix LED headlights, among others. It is also supposed to have a 3.0-litre petrol engine that is capable of 340hp and a peak torque of 500Nm. The model will also be equipped with mild-hybrid technology.

    3. Toyota Hilux

Toyota’s Hilux is based on the IMV-2 platform. It will come with a 204hp, 2.8-litre diesel engine and four-wheel drive; this engine produces a massive 500Nm of peak torque. At the front, the car will have a large hexagonal grille, unique swept-back LED headlamps and a more rugged bumper. It will also have a unique, double-cab silhouette. The rear end may look like conventional pickup trucks. On the interior, the dashboard design, steering wheel, and seats may remain the same. It will have features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment that’s compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Overall, the interior will be functional and comfortable. You will know about the safety features of the India-specific model sometime near the launch date.
