2. What is the battery and range of the Vida VX2 Go?

The VX2 Go packs in a 3.4kWh removable battery that has a claimed IDC range of 142km. Additionally, there’s also an option of an affordable 2.2kWh battery pack that offers an IDC range of 92km.

3. What are the charging rates and charging times of the Vida VX2 Go 3.4kWh?

The Go variant is offered with two battery options – a 2.2kWh pack and a larger 3.4kWh unit – while the Plus is available only with the 3.4kWh battery. In terms of features, the Go makes do with an LCD instrument cluster, whereas the Plus gets a larger 4.3-inch TFT dash. The Plus also adds a third riding mode (Sport) to the Eco and Ride modes common to both variants. Additionally, the Plus benefits from a higher top speed of 80kph and a front disc brake, while the Go uses a lower top-speed tune and a front drum brake.

5. What is Vida’s BaaS (Battery-as-a-service) plan?

The idea is to lower the upfront cost of the scooter, making the VX2 more accessible. If you opt for BaaS instead of an outright purchase, you pay a monthly fee, and once the plan tenure ends, you gain full ownership of both the scooter and its batteries. BaaS payments vary by plan, the details of which are outlined below along with their costs.

Hero offers three Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plans with different tenures. The 2-year plan costs Rs 2,160 per month for 2,400km, translating to the lowest running cost at Rs 0.90/km. The 3-year plan is priced at Rs 1,584 per month for 1,600km, with a per-km cost of Rs 0.99. The most affordable monthly option is the 5-year plan, which costs Rs 1,128 per month for 800km, though its per-km rate is higher at Rs 1.41. In addition, customers must pay a one-time Rs 1,199 towards stamp duty and documentation charges. However, once added up, the total cost of the VX2 comes up higher with the BaaS plan as opposed to buying it outright.

The VX2 Plus is priced at Rs 1.02 lakh (Ex-showroom, Bengaluru), if bought outright. Whereas the price starts at Rs 60,000 if bought with Battery-as-a-service plan.
