What engine does the Kawasaki Vulcan S use?
The Vulcan S is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 61hp at 7,500rpm and 62.4Nm at 6,600rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This is the same engine that powers the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Ninja 650, but tuned differently for the Vulcan's cruiser character. The MY27 bike also restores the 1.4Nm of torque that was inadvertently lost on the MY26 version, bringing it back in line with earlier models.
