The BSA Gold Star 650 marked the return of the iconic British brand to India under Classic Legends' ownership. With its blend of classic British styling and modern engineering, the motorcycle competes directly with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. If you're considering the BSA Gold Star 650, here are answers to some of the most common questions you might have.

What engine does the BSA Gold Star 650 use?

The BSA Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces peak output figures of 45hp at 6,500rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

What is the fuel tank capacity of the BSA Gold Star 650?

The BSA Gold Star 650 comes with a 12-litre fuel tank. While this capacity is adequate for urban riding, it's on the smaller side for a 650cc motorcycle intended for touring. In our fuel efficiency tests, the Gold Star returned 29.14kpl on the highway and 22.96kpl in city conditions. This translates to a highway range of approximately 350km and city range of around 275km on a full tank.

What is the seat height of the BSA Gold Star 650?

The BSA Gold Star 650 features an accessible seat height of 782mm, making it one of the more approachable motorcycles in the premium retro segment. This low seat height, combined with the bike's upright riding position and comfortable seat, makes it suitable for riders of varying heights.

What is the kerb weight of the BSA Gold Star 650?

The BSA Gold Star 650 has a kerb weight of 201kg. This makes it substantially lighter than its primary rival, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, which weighs 218kg. The 17kg weight advantage contributes to the Gold Star's manageable feel, especially at low speeds and while manoeuvring in traffic.

What is the price of the BSA Gold Star 650?

The BSA Gold Star 650 is available in two variants. Prices for the standard variant start at Rs 3.10 lakh and go up to Rs 3.26 lakh, depending on the colourway. The other variant, called the Legacy Edition, gets additional chrome treatment and is priced at Rs 3.45 lakh.
