The Rs 4.6 crore Lamborghini Urus SE sits near the top of the price order among its rivals and is the second-most expensive SUV after the Rs 5.75 crore Aston Martin DBX 707. The Mercedes-AMG G63, priced at Rs 3.64 crore, comes third, followed by the Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two, BMW XM, Audi RS Q8 Performance and Porsche Cayenne GTS, all of which have an ex-showroom price tag under Rs 3 crore.

Excluding the BMW XM and Range Rover Sport Edition Two, which have a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, the other SUVs here feature a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine under the hood. The Lamborghini Urus SE combines it with a plug-in hybrid system, giving it a clear performance advantage with combined peak outputs of 800hp and 950Nm, figures unmatched by any rival. Notably, the only other PHEV here is the BMW XM, but it falls short of the Lambo by 143hp and 150Nm. Only the Aston Martin DBX 707 comes closest to the Urus SE, with outputs of 707hp and 900Nm.

With a blistering 0 to 100kph time of 3.3 seconds, the Aston Martin DBX 707 edges out the Lamborghini Urus SE by just 0.1 seconds, making it the quickest SUV in this line-up. However, the Urus SE takes the lead in top speed at 312kph, which is 2kph more than the DBX 707. Notably, these are the only two SUVs in this group to breach the 300kph mark in their standard settings.

Other rivals, like the Audi RS Q8 Performance and Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two, are slightly slower, with 0-100kph times of 3.6 and 3.9 seconds, respectively. But the RS Q8 Performance also has an optional Dynamic Package Plus, which deletes the speed limiter and boosts its top speed from 250kph to 305kph. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Mercedes-AMG G63 has the slowest figures of 4.7 seconds and 220kph.
