I need a 7-seater for 80% city driving. I really liked the Mahindra Bolero Neo during the test drive because of its tall seating position and bulky design, but it is available only with a diesel engine. Should I purchase it for city run, despite potential DPF issues, or should I go for the Maruti Ertiga or something else?

The biggest reason isn't the Rs 35,000 price increase, but the fact that you won't be able to take delivery for another two months and that your experience with the dealership has already left a bad impression. Buying a new car should be an exciting experience, and if the ownership journey has started on the wrong note, there's little reason to rush into it.By the time you're ready to buy again, you'll have more options to consider. The Honda Elevate facelift is expected to arrive soon, while the recently launched Nissan Tekton also looks promising. Diwali is traditionally a period when manufacturers and dealers offer attractive discounts and schemes, so you may be able to offset some or even all of the recent price increase.

Its 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is responsive, the 6-speed Aisin torque-converter automatic is smooth and reliable, and the overall ride and handling strike an excellent balance between comfort and driver engagement. If you enjoy driving, the Kylaq has the edge.The Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 Automatic counters with a roomier cabin, a longer features list and excellent safety credentials. It is the better choice if rear-seat space and features are your priorities. However, the Kylaq feels more polished from behind the wheel.
