Hello experts, I'm using Activa 125 since 2021 and recently my daily commute have shifted from public transportation to my activa. For 40 km daily commute with 15 km city and rest highway, I'm looking to buy my first bike which would make this experience better. My budget is upto 2.5L.

I am confused to choose between top contenders. Kindly suggest me in this concern. Since you are already familiar with the TVS after-sales experience, we would recommend you take a look at the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. It is a smooth, comfortable, fuel-efficient and feature-rich offering. However, do bear in mind, it can feel cramped for larger riders, so we'd advise you to take a test ride and figure out if that is the case for you. Another option to consider is the Bajaj Pulsar N160, which has similar attributes to the Apache bikes but is a more spacious machine.

Asked by: Anand C I own a Kia Sonet iMT (Dec-2020 model) and recently started experiencing noticeable juddering while driving in 1st gear. The service centre advised me to apply more accelerator input, saying this behaviour is common in iMT vehicles. I want to understand whether this issue is genuinely common in iMT gearboxes or if it indicates an underlying problem. Since my extended warranty expires on 15 Dec 2025, I would also like to know if any specific components related to this issue should be checked or replaced under warranty. Please advise. There can be a small amount of low-rpm shudder in first gear if you are crawling in traffic at very low speeds. But if it is constant and happens even at higher revs, then there is a problem.There are known cases of the Kia Sonet iMT having a judder in first gear. So the dealer cannot call this normal. These juddering points to a problem with the iMT mechanism. Typically, the clutch or an actuator. It should be solved, especially since your warranty is about to expire.Make it clear to the dealer that the issue is not because of your driving style, but it’s a genuine problem. Request a written report on your problem and ask them to flag it off with Kia. Get the complaint logged before December 15th to protect your warranty claim.If the dealer does not cooperate, try another dealer. There are many options in your budget, though the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor Turbo are the ones that will best meet your requirements of good economy, low maintenance and reliability.The Brezza is an upright compact SUV and has the roomiest interior of the options. Its 1.5-litre engine, however, is pleasant but unexciting.The Fronx and Taisor are essentially the same car. Both are best with the turbo-petrol engine and automatic gearbox option. Performance is impressive, and fuel economy is also good.
