Which car should I buy among Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Petrol base or Kia Seltos petrol base? And also tell me if anyone has faced power issue or pickup issue while overtaking as I want the car for long term.

Between the two, the Seltos is the better choice, especially if you are looking at the base variant. It feels more premium, is the newer product and offers a more complete package even in its lower variants.

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol makes 115hp and 144Nm. It isn't a particularly powerful engine, but it is smooth and refined and is perfectly adequate for normal city driving.

For overtaking, it won't have the punch of the Seltos turbo, but it isn't underpowered either. With a full load and during quick highway overtakes, you may need to plan ahead and use higher revs.

The Grand Vitara's 1.5 petrol is also a smooth, simple powertrain, but its performance is more relaxed and the base variant is quite sparsely equipped.

@chintan312 I had similar shortlisting and bought GV automatic. No complaints except for power on highways, but again depends on driver. But that's okay. GV and Hyryder have better driving comfort on bad roads compared to Elevate.

Hi, I am currently using a 2021 Ford EcoSport diesel and am now planning to buy a new car by exchanging my EcoSport. I have shortlisted two options: the Kia Seltos HTX diesel automatic and the Mahindra XUV 7XO AX5 diesel automatic. I am confused between the two and would like to know which one I should choose. The on-road prices of both cars are similar. My usage is mostly solo driving, with both city and highway use. On weekends and holidays, I usually travel with my family. Kindly suggest which car would be a better choice for my usage.

Go for the Mahindra XUV 7XO AX5 diesel automatic. Since you are coming from an EcoSport diesel and your usage is a mix of city driving and family highway trips, the XUV 7XO is the better fit. Hi, I am planning to buy a CNG SUV and am considering the Tata Nexon CNG and Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG.
