I'm looking for a car for my family of three, and my child is 5 months old. My budget is Rs. 10-20 lakh, and I am eligible for Bharat Series (BH) registration. I live in a metro city and will use the car for weekend drives with family and friends, occasional long drives to my native place, and longer road trips in the future.
For a family of three with a five-month-old child, your priorities should be comfort, safety, space for a child seat and luggage, and a relaxed driving experience for both city and highway use. Your budget of Rs. 10-20 lakh gives you a wide range of options, but the key is to choose a car that will remain comfortable and practical as your child grows and your travel increases.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is a strong recommendation. It offers a spacious cabin, a wide rear seat that easily accommodates a child seat and an adult, and a comfortable ride that makes long drives less tiring. The Mahindra car is also well equipped and feels like a genuinely premium product for the price. The only drawback is the relatively small boot, which can be a limitation on longer trips with a lot of luggage.
If boot space is a concern, the Tata Sierra is worth considering. It offers a larger boot and a more premium cabin, making it better suited to long trips with family and friends. The Mahindra XUV 7XO is also a good option if you want more space and a more powerful engine for highway cruising, but it is a larger car and may not be as easy to manoeuvre in the city.
Overall, the XUV 3XO strikes the best balance between city usability, comfort and value, while the Sierra and XUV 7XO are better choices if space is your top priority.

@mahantesh.2 looking for suggestions on XUV 3XO Revv A or Tata Punch Top Rnd variant and in XUV segment XUV 7XO AX7 or Mahindra Thar Star Edition.These are two segment options we have.. Any variant I'm thinking to buy manual
@mahantesh.2 You should pick the Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7 Manual - it's the most well-rounded choice for comfort, performance, features, and family use. In the smaller segment, you can choose the XUV 3XO REVX A over the Punch for its stronger engine and better overall value.
@mahantesh.2 Go for XUV 7XO
I own alto vxi 2009 for last 4 years my first driving experience. Want to upgrade the next. My budget is less than 12 lakh. Need comfortable space for 4 to 5 family members(including driver). Good boot space as i will mostly travel with family to my hometown and in city if required to take family out.
I am using Ertiga CNG since 2017 and enjoyed lot and having 126000 Km I want upgrade with SUV strong hybrid with automatic or Best SUV with CNG with good space Budget is 15 to 17 lks n weekly drive is 150 to 200 Km
@shankark236 According to your budget and running, strong hybrid SUV like Hyryder automatic is a good pick. It is smooth in driving and has better city efficiency vs CNG. Grand Vitara CNG and Tata Nexon iCNG are good options if you want low running costs with CNG. But these two lack in convenience and boot space.
