Vento Cup: Karminder Singh wins race two at Kari

Championship leader Karminder Singh further cemented his position in the driver standings by winning race two of the second round of the JK Tyre Volkswagen Vento Cup 2015 held at Kari Motor Speedway.

Starting sixth on the grid, Singh was made his move early and was in lead of the race by the end of the opening lap. Then onwards, he built up a comfortable lead and took the chequered flag to seal his second win of the season.

Hyderabad’s Ishaan Dodhiwala and Anindith Reddy finished second and third, having started seventh and eighth respectively.

Singh commented, “The start of the race was perfect for me and getting ahead of everyone in the very first lap of the race was the most important part of the race for me"

"From there onwards, I only had to keep my head cool and make sure that I made no mistakes", he added.

Another championship contender Sailesh Bolisetti, also featured strongly as he started last after a DNF in race one and managed to finish fifth to bank all-important points.
