    Indian GP gets FIA go-ahead

FIA Inspector and Formula One Race Director, Mr. Charlie Whiting visited the Buddh International Race circuit today for a planned routine inspection.

Whiting has kept close tabs on the ongoing construction and has declared he is happy that the venue is on course for its inaugural grand prix on October 30.

In a statement issued by Vicky Chandhok, president of the FMSCI - Whiting stated that the progress was more than satisfactory and exceeded expectations from when he last visited the site. He also expressed confidence that the inaugural Indian Grand Prix will be a huge success.

Physical issuance of Grade-1 Certification will happen one week prior to the event, as the practice for new circuits.
