    The ninth edition of the Formula Bharat student competition is scheduled to take place between January 22 to 27, 2025, and pre-registrations have begun. Teams will have to pre-register to participate in a registration quiz happening in May, the results of which will determine the eligibility of the team for the event. Do note that pre-registrations close on May 3, 2024.

    The event is split into two main categories: Combustion Vehicles (CV) and Electric Vehicles (EV). While the registration is currently capped at 30 teams for CV and 50 for EV, this can be changed by the management in the run-up to the event. Judging is divided into two main parts: Static Events and Dynamic Events. Static Events consists of off-track activities like engineering design, cost and manufacturing, while Dynamic Events consists of on-track action like the skid pad, acceleration, autocross, endurance and efficiency events.

    The eighth edition of the event featured teams from all over India and a few international entrants from Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh. VIIT Pune was crowned as the overall CV winners and IIT Bombay grabbed the overall top spot in the EV category.
