Two new teams join ISRL this year

A total of six teams are competing in the ISRL this year, including two new entrants: Indewheelers Motorsports and Tricolour Motorsports. Moreover, for its second season, the league has introduced a new ‘rider retention’ mechanism, under which teams that competed in Season 1 are only allowed to retain up to two riders from last year.
The teams collectively spent Rs 6 crore during the auction, with American rider Kyle Peters securing the highest bid. Rugved Barguje secured the top bid for an Indian rider. 16-year-old Jack Nunn was another standout, becoming the youngest rider signed in the 250cc category.
2025 Indian Supercross Racing League calendar
Supercross races are usually conducted on indoor dirt tracks, featuring steep jumps and obstacles. There are a total of three categories – 450cc and 250cc for international riders, and a separate 250cc category for Indian and Asian riders. This last category gives Indian riders the chance to not just compete with, but also learn from, some of the best supercross riders globally. The inaugural edition was won by rally racer CS Santosh’s team BigRock Motorsports.
This year, the league will hold rounds in Pune, Hyderabad and Kerala. The venues for these will be revealed in the coming weeks. The league is also introducing more fan experiences this year, with dedicated ‘Fan Parks’ at each round. These will have pit-lane tours, virtual racing simulators, live entertainment, rider meet-and-greets, and more.
