Honda Activa e: and QC1: May 2026 sales details
Honda edges ahead of Suzuki in the Japanese EV battle
The 520 units sold in May represent a 36 percent increase over the 383 units delivered in May 2025 and surpass Honda’s previous monthly best of 461 units, achieved in July 2025. Cumulative retail sales of the Activa: e and QC1 now stand at 5,439 units. Despite the milestone, Honda’s volumes remain a small fraction of those posted by the e-scooter segment leaders. Manufacturers such as TVS and Bajaj are currently averaging between 35,000 and 40,000 per month.
That said, the battle among Japanese manufacturers is becoming increasingly competitive. Suzuki Motorcycle India, which launched the e-Access earlier this year, has delivered 1,515 units in 2026 so far. Honda, with 1,574 Activa e: and QC1 deliveries over the same period, has now moved ahead by 59 units after trailing Suzuki during the first four months of the year. Yamaha, which entered the segment in February 2026 with the EC-06, has delivered 274 units so far.
The Activa e: uses two swappable battery packs with a combined capacity of 3kWh, delivering a claimed IDC range of 102km. Power comes from a 6kW motor, and the top speed is limited to 80kph. Prices start at Rs 1.20 lakh. The QC1, meanwhile, uses a fixed battery pack and offers a claimed range of 80km along with a top speed of 50kph. It is positioned as a more utilitarian urban mobility solution, with prices starting at Rs 90,000.
