The all-electric BYD e6 came to India in 2021 but at launch, it was only available to commercial buyers. From September 2022, BYD made the e6 available to private car buyers and that makes it the first electric MPV in India. The e6 is based on BYD’s e-platform and features a 71.7kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery that is paired to a single front-axle electric motor making 95hp and 180Nm. The highlight of the e6 is really its claimed range of 520km on a single charge on the WLTC city cycle.
