Autocar India's YouTube video views cross 100 million

Autocar India’ YouTube channel reaches out to over 2,88,000 subscribers; select videos have received over one million views.

Autocar India, the No 1 auto magazine in the country with a readership of over 3,00,000 is also India’s top automotive channel on Youtube, and amongst the top 100 in the world. Autocar India's YouTube channel has soared past a record 100 million views in just six short years. 

A basket of 1,200 videos on the Autocar India channel reach out to a growing base of subscribers that now total over 2,88,000. Growth of the channel has accelerated especially rapidly in recent months, with a staggering 41 million video views racked up in 2016 so far. In total, 368 million minutes of film have been watched.

What are Autocar India's most loved videos? The most popular video made to date, with 1.38 million views and counting, is the exclusive first drive review for the 2016 Toyota Innova. Second, with 1.34 million views, is the first drive video review of the 800cc Renault Kwid. In third place, with 1.08 million views, is the first drive video review of the Maruti Vitara Brezza. It’s not just test drives that are popular but special features too. An exclusive drive with Sachin Tendulkar and John Abraham have racked up over 7,00,000 views each. 

"In this age of 4G and super-fact connectivity, the power of video cannot be underestimated. We have embraced this medium wholeheartedly and our video team has done an outstanding job to make sure we are way ahead of other automotive channels”, says Hormazd Sorabjee, editor of Autocar India. The magazine’s video views are nearly double that of its nearest rival.
