The pre-owned car segment is a force to reckon with, especially in a value-conscious economy such as ours, and the Pre-Owned Car Awards 2022 aims to applaud players within this very spectrum. The inaugural Pre-Owned Car Awards, hosted by OLX Autos in partnership with Autocar India, will be held soon, with a virtual event in keeping with the times.

To address rising demand in the pre-owned car segment is the need of the hour, and by presenting consumers with helpful insights and accurate recommendations on the best purchases in the Indian market, the awards have been spread across three main categories  Highest Residual Value, Our Choice and Special Awards.

A total of 13 awards are up for grabs in this hotly contested space, with the esteemed jury as well as viewers having a say in picking the winners. The ‘Highest Residual Value’ Category will have three awards with one winner each under Hatchbacks, Sedans and SUVs. The ‘Our Choice’ Category will have eight awards overall, including a ‘budget’ and ‘premium’ category each for Hatchbacks and Sedans, three awards (Budget, Mid-size and Premium) in the SUV category and one award for the MPV segment. In addition to this, the ‘Special Awards’ category will celebrate the Viewer’s choice for the ‘Best Pre-Owned Brand of the Year’, with the grand prize being the ‘Pre-Owned Car of the Year’ to be decided by the jury.

The jury panel consists of prominent names from the auto industry which include Hormazd Sorabjee, Editor, Autocar India, Renuka Kirpalani, Executive Editor Video, Autocar India, Sergius Barretto, Managing Editor, Autocar India, Amit Kumar, CEO, OLX Autos India, Armaan Ebrahim, Car Racer, Hemal N Thakkar, Director, CRISIL Limited, and Ravi Bhatia, President and Director of JATO Dynamics India. The jury round for the awards was held recently.
