Volkswagen has launched the 2015 Vento facelift starting at Rs 7.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While this is the second update to the sedan in a span of 12 months, it is a more considerable one. There are cosmetic changes both outside and in, and some more equipment.

Prominent design changes include the new Passat-like grille, tweaked bumpers, restyled lamp assemblies, and horizontal fog lamps with cornering lights. Overall, this new car looks a bit sharper. Step inside and there’s a lighter colour scheme in the cabin. Top trims come with features like cruise control, cooled glovebox, dead pedal and powered wing mirrors.

Mechanically, the Vento is as before. It retains the 103bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol, 104bhp 1.6-litre petrol and the 103bhp 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and the seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox.

The updated Vento is one of five new launches that Volkswagen India has lined-up for the Indian market. Read our full story on that here
