With growing demand for used cars, Japanese carmaker Toyota has decided to expand its own used car programme called Toyota U Trust’. After launching it in Chennai, Banagalore, New Delhi and Mumbai, the company plans to expand it to 20 outlets in 15 cities during the current year.

Toyota also plans to offer its customers exchange schemes wherein they can opt for an upgrade by trading in their old car or buying a certified used Toyota that would have a 1 year/ 15,000kms engine and gearbox warranty with three free services.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "The used car market in India is almost as big and important as the new car market. Toyota U Trust aims at encouraging the sales of our new cars, enhancing dealer profitability, and increasing the residual value of Toyota vehicles, which will in turn help increase the new car sales."

The company has also launched a website - www.toyotautrust.in - to facilitate test drive booking, vehicle booking and easy access to information on vehicle history.
