SsangYong Tivoli Air first launched in South Korea

The SsangYong Tivoli Air has been launched in South Korea. The model had been unveiled at the 2016 Geneva motor show as the Tivoli XLV.

The Tivoli Air keeps the same 2,600mm wheelbase as the standard Tivoli, however, it is 235mm longer from the C-pillar back. As a result, it provides more storage space and room inside. The total carrying capacity of the Tivoli XLV has now increased to 720 litre with its rear seats in place. This storage space can be increased to 1,440 litre with the rear seats folded. The cargo area also features a 220-volt inverter for powering various electrical devices on the go. Additionally, the second-row seats can recline up to 32.5 degrees.

The Tivoli Air is powered by the same 1.6-litre e-XDi LET diesel engine from the standard Tivoli, which produces 114hp and 300Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or an Aisin-sourced six-speed automatic transmission. There’s no petrol engine choice for the Tivoli Air.

The standard Tivoli showcased at the Auto Expo in Delhi is likely to be considered for the Indian market given the premium that space and length carry in India.
