Hyundai has released a first set of images and information of the updated Santa Fe, prior to its world premiere at the upcoming Frankfurt motor show 2015. The facelifted Santa Fe for the Korean market, dubbed as the Santa Fe Prime, was unveiled earlier this year.

The facelifted SUV gets a revised front bumper along with restyled fog lamps and addition of LED daytime-running lights. The reshaped grille gets more chrome and the headlamps get a slight re-profile. At the back, the bumper is reskinned, the exhausts are now rectangular and the tail-lamps get updated LED graphics.

On the inside, the infotainment screen is slightly bigger than the current car's and the centre console is restyled as well. Hyundai has also revealed that the quality of materials have been improved from that seen on the earlier model. In addition to these updates, the facelifted Santa Fe also gets more tech like autonomous emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive-smart cruise control, blind sport detection system as well as lane change and high beam assist.

Globally, the Santa Fe is sold in two versions – a standard wheelbase model (seen here) that’s available in India, and the Hyundai Grand Santa Fe SUV with a slightly longer wheelbase, available only in left hand-drive markets. The current-gen Santa Fe has been on sale in India since 2013. We expect Hyundai to bring the updated Santa Fe to our shores sometime next year.
