Renault has relaunched an updated iteration of the Lodgy Stepway with prices starting at Rs 9.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Unlike the older Stepway, the new model is available in both the RxL and RxZ trims and additionally gets the option of the less powerful 85hp diesel engine alongside the 110hp unit.

Powering the updated Stepway is the tried and tested 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine already on use in the Lodgy, but unlike the older model, the updated Stepway gets the option of two power outputs – 85hp and 110hp.

In terms of equipment, the Stepway RxL gets the addition of a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with rear parking sensors, rear wash wiper and defogger. The top RxZ Stepway carries forward many of the features from the older model such as the MediaNAV infotainment system, cruise control, dual airbags and rear-view camera with the seven-seater variant also getting leather upholstery. The 110hp RxZ model also gets new 16-inch Panache alloy wheels while the 85hp variant continue to use the 15-inch Anthracite alloy wheels.

The Lodgy Stepway RxL is only available as an eight-seater with the RxZ trim offering the option of a seven-seat layout with captain seats for the second row. The Lodgy Stepway goes on sale alongside the standard Lodgy which is now limited to the base Standard and RxE trims and the similarly styled World Edition model.

Renault is keen to strengthen its position in the MPV segment where the Lodgy competes against the likes of the Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio.
