Renault has launched the Fluence in Mumbai along with its first exclusive dealership in the city. Just over a week after Renault officially launched the car in Delhi, it was unveiled at Renault’s 14th showroom in India.

Renault India has targeted 2013 to be its first full year with five models across various segments. These include the Fluence, Koleos SUV, Duster crossover, a hatchback (code: B58) and an entry midsize saloon (code: L78).  By then, they target to sell 8000 units of the Fluence per year. Also, the Koleos is expected to hit showrooms in a few months time, much before its expected arrival of January 2012.

Ramping up at a brisk pace, Renault plans to expand to 30 cities by December 2011 with 40 outlets right in time for the Koleos launch. The next phase will be to expand further to 100 dealerships across 75 cities by end 2012.

The French carmaker has already invested Rs 5000 crores in India in setting up a greenfield facility near Chennai with a capacity to produce 4,00,000 cars per year and once all five models are launched, Renault expects to be producing at 60 percent of its output.
