Volkswagen has launched a new trim of its Polo hatch called the Polo SR. The SR was first showcased at the 2012 Autocar Performance Show in Mumbai and Volkswagen received a positive response, resulting in the launch of this trim.

The SR comes only with cosmetic tweaks. On the outside, the SR comes with front, side and rear skirts, a rear roof spoiler, a chrome exhaust tip and 15-inch alloys. There is also a prominent SR badge on the C-pillar and below the Polo badge on the hatch. There are no changes to the cabin. The SR package is only available on the Polo 1.2 petrol Highline trim and is priced at Rs 6.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs 30,000 more than the top-spec 1.2 Polo petrol.
