Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×4 revealed

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the G 500 4x4. It is a four-wheeled version of the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6. No further details have been revealed by the carmaker.

However, the official image reveals that - like the G 63 AMG 6x6 - it has a slightly modified body, increased ground clearance and larger wheels. Reports suggest that it is powered by a 416bhp 5.5-litre V8, although Mercedes has yet to officially confirm any of those details.

The G 500 4x4 - which Mercedes has described as a "show car" - is expected to be revealed at the Geneva motor show.
