Lexus, after recently releasing teaser images of its LF-FC concept’s headlamps, has finally unveiled the all-wheel-drive concept at the 2015 Tokyo motor show. The concept’s design language is said to be highly suggestive of what the brand’s upcoming flagship luxury sports sedan, the LS and future cars could look like.

The concept’s exteriors feature the 3 LED-projector head lamp with the L-shaped daytime-running lights as in the teaser image, a spindle-like front grille, a sloping roofline along with Toyota Mirai-like tail-lamps. The four-door concept features several autonomous driving functions and a gesture-controlled infotainment system.

Equipped with a hydrogen fuel-cell electric powertrain, power is directly transferred to the rear wheels and also to two in-wheel electric motors up front. The fuel-cell stack at the rear of the car, with the power control unit at the front and the T-shaped hydrogen storage tank allow for an "optimal" weight distribution for a sports saloon, as per Lexus.

The upcoming LS would compete with ultra-luxury saloons like the Audi A8, Mercedes-Benz S-class and BMW 7-series.
